In 2002, Charles Rice Goff III spent several months composing the fourteen pieces that make up the album entitled: "Whirledly." He started by notating music into a midi program, then carefully layered in guitars, winds, vocals, and other bits that he performed in the Taped Rugs Studio. He also painstakingly placed loads of sampled recordings into his compositions. At the time he finished this ambitious project, he was convinced that it was his highest sonic achievement. Fortunately for Goff, the album was very well received by listeners worldwide.
